This 10 x 10 inch painting is a part of an ongoing series of views from the trails in which I grew up with. These spaces in particular are part of the walks taken at a nature centre down the road from where I grew up.
Especially during this difficult year, I crave to connect with nature again and gain a sense of grounding and home. The city can feel overwhelming especially during a pandemic. I miss the freedom felt in the country, which is why I plan to paint the childhood memories of the countryside I came from.
