My work has always explored themes of healing the subconscious and facing the unknown and dark territory. When my son was born, I wanted to set aside the weight of what I was working on and express the joy that was flooding through me as a new mother. That is when I started to paint landscapes. This tree on the beach represents memories of growing up near Lake Huron. See more like this under the series "Landscapes" on my website.
